Getting charged twice for same crime

R. v. Abdelrazzaq, sets the standard for being charged with a crime and now having to face a second charge for ultimately doing the same thing but only twice. Proceeds of crime means that the criminal made money off of his crime and now not only are they charged with the crime but if they do not give the money in which they made doing the crime to the government then they are facing another potential jail sentence on top. Was not the reason for doing the crime to make money? Well if the criminal actually made money then that seems to be a crime as well. This is a travesty of justice when a person charged with a crime is again facing another sentence for committing the same crime .
